Strawberry and Chocolate Tart
Ingredients:
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Place pie crust in a 9-inch tart pan and prick the bottom with a fork. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- In a small saucepan, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the pie crust.
- In a medium saucepan, mix the sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture has thickened.
- Pour the strawberry mixture over the melted chocolate.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Serve cold with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
